(= glioma-derived growth factor)Growth factor derived from glioma cells. GDGF-I has subsequently shown to be a homodimer of polypeptides immunologically similar to the A-chain of PDGF and GDGF-II is predominantly a heterodimer containing one peptide similar to A-chain and one similar to B-chain of PDGF with some homodimers of B-chain-like peptides. GDGF-II is more potently mitogenic.
